“Ahilya Garment City” to become new textile, apparel hub of state

Investment of Rs 584 crore, more than 12 thousand new employment opportunities

Indore : MPIDC has provided 12 hectares of land to Arvind Group in Budhi Barlai and 12.5 hectares of land to Noise Group for setting up their textile and apparel manufacturing unit. For this, letter of intent has been issued to both the companies. In this area, mega textile and garmenting units of these two new companies as well as plug and play unit for ancillary units, residential area for employees, medical facility, police station, fire station, common facility center, commercial complex and parking facility will be developed.
The said area was visited by Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director of MPIDC Regional Office Indore recently. Both these units together will invest a total of Rs 584 crore and will generate new employment opportunities for about 12 thousand people. Arvind Group has set a target of making 60 lakh garments per year in its unit in the first phase, while Noise Group will set up 9 different activities in its unit, which will include the manufacture of sweaters, denim and footwear. The establishment of this garment park will start a new chapter in the upliftment of the lives of the women of the region.

Prajapati visits Reliance Compressed Bio-gas Unit

During his visit, Executive Director of MPIDC, Prajapati visited the Compressed Bio-gas Unit of Reliance Energy located in about 25 acres at Dakacha. The company officials informed that this unit will start production by October 2025. Napier grass, which is also commonly known as horse grass, rice husk and soybean husk and cow dung and agricultural waste will be used for the production of gas in this compressed bio-gas plant. By mixing these three substances in a certain proportion, gas is produced and the residue from this process is used as organic bio fertilizer, which is very useful for agriculture. This unit will relieve farmers from the problem of burning stubble, which will be environment friendly as well as help in the government’s goal of doubling the income of farmers. Reliance Energy has set a target of setting up 100 such units in the state. This initiative will help the country to become self-reliant in the energy sector and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.
