Rahul Rawail to train students in film production, digital storytelling

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Renowned film director Rahul Rawail, known for super hit films like Love Story, Betaab, Arjun, and Anjaam, will now mentor students at Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) in the art of film making and digital storytelling. Appointed as ‘Professor of Practice,’ Rawail told the media, “Understanding the evolving language of cinema and digital narratives is crucial today. I’m thrilled to join PIMR’s Film and Digital Communication Department, where I will impart both theoretical and practical knowledge to students.”
PIMR will soon launch short-term courses focusing on directing, screenwriting, production, and digital content creation. Dr. S.S. Bhakar, Group Director of PIMR, highlighted that PIMR is the only institute in Central India recognized by the National Film Development Corporation. This partnership will provide students with opportunities in national and international projects, workshops, and internships.
Colonel Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director of PIMR’s Undergraduate Campus, stated, “Having a seasoned filmmaker like Rahul Rawail with us is a matter of pride. His expertise will inspire the next generation of storytellers.”
Next month, PIMR will host a special event dedicated to legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor, where Rawail, author of Raj Kapoor: The Master at Work, will share insights into Kapoor’s cinematic journey and untold stories. Rawail said, “Raj Kapoor was more than a filmmaker; he was an emotion. Sharing my experiences with him is an honor.”
