44 IPS officers transferred in state, SP of 25 districts changed

Big responsibility to officers who were in the loop line in the previous government, tainted sideline

Raipur.Just a few hours before the budget session of the Assembly, a major change has been made in the police department of Chhattisgarh. Home Department has issued transfer orders of 44 IPS officers.

In the order issued from the Police Headquarters, Superintendents of Police of 25 districts have been changed. 2011 batch IPS Santosh Singh will now be the new SP of Raipur, before this he was the SP of Bilaspur. In his place Rajnesh Singh will be Bilaspur Superintendent of Police. At the same time, Amresh Mishra, who returned from the Center on deputation, has been made Inspector General of Raipur Range.

The officers who have been given big responsibilities by the present government were completely sideline in the previous government, whereas the same officers were in the main stream before 2018. Along with this, the tainted officers have been removed from the frontline and put on the back foot. These include officers who held important positions in the previous government, but were also in controversy.

According to the order of the Home Department, the charge of 10 Inspector General level officers has also been changed. While Amresh Mishra has been made the new IG of Raipur, Sanjeev Shukla of 2004 batch will now be the Bilaspur IG. Earlier, Ajay Kumar Yadav had this responsibility, he has been attached to Police Headquarters Nava Raipur.
