Rajnandgaon (Team Newsbuddy): A special awareness camp was organized in Rajnandgaon to educate youth about the Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojana (PMRY) and Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) schemes. The event was held as part of the preparations for the upcoming ‘Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’, set to launch on August 1, 2025, with the aim of equipping beneficiaries with prior information to ensure they can fully benefit from the initiative.
A large number of local youth, entrepreneurs, and self-employment aspirants participated in the camp. Detailed information was provided regarding PMRY’s loan assistance for self-employment, training programs, and associated benefits. In addition, key aspects of EPFO schemes — such as the Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, and Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) — were also discussed in depth.
Experts at the event explained how young individuals can utilize these schemes to start their own businesses and ensure social security. On-the-spot assistance and registration services were made available to simplify the enrollment process for attendees.
Kiran Sahu, Mayor of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation, attended as the chief guest. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Regional Manager of EPFO Raipur, and Alok Dubey, General Manager of District Industries Center, Rajnandgaon, addressed the youth as special speakers.
The presence of officials from the local administration, the Industries Department, and various banks added value and effectiveness to the camp. Participating youth described the schemes as a significant step toward employment and self-reliance.
