‘Raman Singh should look into his own affairs instead of pointing fingers at Congress’

During Raman Singh’s time, 32000 cr Naan scam took place in PDS system

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): Strongly opposing the statement of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh regarding the PDS system and its credibility in Chhattisgarh, State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla has said that Raman Singh has become a victim of delusion, the people of Chhattisgarh have not forgotten how during his tenure, there was an organized robbery of the ration of the poor. During Raman Singh’s time, a 32000 crore Naan scam took place in the PDS system. Instead of pointing fingers at Congress, Raman Singh should look into his own affairs, during Raman Singh’s third term itself, a 36000 crore Naan scam was committed by making 26 lakh fake ration cards, the ration meant for the poor and the general public was sold in the open markets. In the previous Congress government, ration cards were made for everyone from APL and BPL, from peon to collector, common people and from labourers to landlords. During the Congress government, the transparency and reliability of PDS was famous all over the country, ration cards of 81 lakh families were made, ration cards were issued on the basis of approval after inviting claims and objections by publishing the list in the general assembly in local bodies Gram Panchayat, Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Corporations. After the BJP government came to power in 2023, once again 81 lakh ration cards were canceled and people were put in line to get new cards made. Even today more than 30 lakh families are wandering for ration cards without KYC.

State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla has said that the right to food was given to the general public by the UPA governments led by Manmohan Singh, only corruption took place in the BJP governments. Even today, in Chhattisgarh, thumb impressions are being taken in the name of 3 months’ ration. PDS rice is being sold in open markets through cash transactions. Supply of salt and gram in tribal areas is only on paper. Under the protection of the BJP government, the PDS ration meant for the rights and entitlements of the common people is reaching the warehouses of middlemen and black marketers. State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla has said that ever since the Bharatiya Janata Party government has been formed in Chhattisgarh, physical verification of PDS stock is not being done. Cooperative societies and consumer shops have been turned into pastures for Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. The claim of giving the right to food in the government led by Prime Minister Modi and Vishnudev Sai is also false. Taking credit for the achievements of Congress governments and then making false statements against them has become a habit of BJP leaders.
