Malnutrition in Gaza at ‘alarming levels’: WHO warns

1 min read

London (Team Newsbuddy): Amid the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that malnutrition in the region has reached ‘alarming levels’ and is spreading very fast. This serious warning from the WHO comes at a time when the international community has resumed the process of sending relief materials to Gaza by air.

Jordan reported that it, along with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), airdropped 25 tonnes of aid material into Gaza . Meanwhile, Israel has also given signs of relief, announcing that it will stop military operations in parts of Gaza for 10 hours every day and open a corridor for the United Nations to deliver aid materials.

The situation remains extremely delicate, and international agencies have called for
greater speed and cooperation in providing relief.
