Hockey India President Padmashree Dilip Tirkey congratulates
Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy) : The 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior National Championship 2025 is being organized from 28 July to 8 August at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
Chhattisgarh Hockey Association President and Hockey India Joint Secretary Firoz Ansari said that a total of 29 teams from across the country are participating in this prestigious competition, in which the Chhattisgarh hockey team played the opening match. In its very first match, the Chhattisgarh team made a great start by defeating Goa 4-0. In the first match, the state team displayed aggressive play. In this match, Adarsh Raj Singh scored two goals, while Gulshan Yadav and Manish Vatti scored one goal each.
Hockey India President, Olympian Padmashree Dr. Dilip Tirkey met the players of the Chhattisgarh team and congratulated them for this excellent performance and wished them all the best for the upcoming matches.Gulshan Yadav was awarded the Player of the Match for his excellent performance in the match played .
Chhattisgarh Hockey Association Secretary Manish Srivastava informed that the team for this competition was selected after the training camp held at the International Hockey Stadium in Rajnandgaon. Talented players from various districts of the state participated in this camp, out of which 18 best performing players were selected for the national competition. The selected players include Gulshan Yadav, Adarsh Singh, Abhishek Yadav, Aman Verma, Naman Dewangan, Rehan Khan, Piyush Kumar Sahu, Liyansh Sarathi, Mohit Kashyap, Manish Vatti, Pritam Kujur, Aman Nag, Aniket Kujur, Ankit Kujur, Rehan Sheikh, Manish Morea, Himanshu Mallick and Saurya Verma and the training team includes
Chief coach Shakeel Ahmed, team manager international hockey player Mrinal Choubey and assistant coach Toran Sinha.
The sports-loving public and hockey lovers of the state have expressed their happiness over this impressive start of the Chhattisgarh team and congratulated the entire team.
