Indore (Team Newsbuddy): “The world today doesn’t need bosses—it needs builders. It needs people who can solve real problems, whether it’s optimizing rural logistics or using AI to skill underprivileged youth,” said Dr. Davish Jain, Chancellor of Prestige University and Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation. He was addressing the incoming batch (2025–28) of the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) during the ‘Diksharambh 2025’ orientation ceremony held on Thursday.
Dr. Jain advised the new students that future managers must go beyond conventional intelligence. “What the world needs today is not just IQ, but AQ—Adaptability Quotient; not just data literacy, but people empathy; not just a sharp mind, but a soft heart grounded in strong values,” he emphasized.
Delivering his keynote address, Dr. N. Murugan, former Director of All India Radio, Chennai, inspired students to embrace lifelong learning. Urging them to be keen listeners and persistent observers, he proposed a unique self-growth roadmap through his “A-Cube, I-Cube, M-Cube” formula. He also recommended students create a personal development chart and set time-bound goals to transform their dreams into reality.
Motivational speaker Pankaj Kothari encouraged students to break free from autopilot living and embrace mindful awareness in every aspect of life. “Stay mentally present in your academic and personal journey,” he urged students.
Siddharth Rajhans, Global Ambassador of the Prestige Group, highlighted the spirit of collaboration over competition. Linking Indore’s vibrant cultural heritage to entrepreneurship and innovation, he asked students to build careers that contribute meaningfully to national and global value systems.
PIMR Group Director Dr. S. S. Bhakar reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to holistic development. “At PIMR, we prepare students to tackle global challenges using Harvard Business School case studies, leadership initiatives, and skill-based learning models,” he said.
In his welcome address, PIMR UG Director Col. S. Raman Iyer described PIMR as “not just an institution, but an idea.” He added, “Here, you will not only earn degrees but also acquire multiple, job-ready skills that will empower your future.”
Also addressing the gathering were Dr. Rajeev Raghuvanshi and Dr. Nitin Tanted, who extended their best wishes to the incoming cohort.
Dr. Davish Jain was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Dr. Murugan on behalf of the M.T.A Academy and the Federation of International Thirukkural Forums, recognizing his steadfast commitment to education and societal transformation.
Col. S. Raman Iyer received the Scientific Knowledge Award, presented by Mrs. Rajeshwari Murugan, for his impactful work in student empowerment, especially in rural areas.
International Karate player Tamanna Suryavanshi and national badminton gold medalist Vardan Agrawal were honoured for their excellence in sports. Academic achievers Radhika Gupta, Ishan Jain, Priyal Jain, and Sara were recognized for their outstanding performances.
On the occasion, the guests also unveiled the institute’s in-house magazine—Swagat.
