Farmers do not want to give land permanently for Simhastha

Ujjain (Team Newsbuddy): The protest against building a permanent Kumbh city for the Simhastha Mahaparva in Ujjain has intensified. Regarding this, farmers protested by standing in water at Chakratirth crematorium on Sunday. They also blocked the road by raising slogans against the administration. Farmers say that they are not ready to give land permanently for Simhastha. They were demanding land acquisition under the old scheme. After a lot of persuasion by the administration, they agreed and ended the protest. Let us tell you that Kumbh city will be built on 2378 hectares of land in Ujjain for the 2028 Simhastha. The government is acquiring land for this. Farmers say that they will give land for Kumbh, but do not want to give it permanently. Most of the farmers have less land. In such a situation, they will be left with nothing due to land acquisition. Farmers will be ruined by land acquisition in the new land acquisition scheme. All the protesting farmers are from the villages connected to the Simhastha land.

Jal Satyagraha at Ram Ghat

On Sunday, the farmers were going to do Jal Satyagraha at Ram Ghat. In view of the protest, the police put up barricades on the roads of all the ghats. Due to which farmers and common devotees could not go to the ghats. After the strictness of the police, the farmers got divided into two factions. One faction dodged the police and reached the Chakratirtha crematorium of Shipra on the other side of the Badnagar bridge and protested by standing in the water.

Police stops road block

The second faction of farmers reached in front of the grain market and blocked the road. Due to this, queues of vehicles were formed there. The protesters clearly told the police and the administration that you people have picked up our elderly farmers from their homes at midnight, which is wrong. We request you people with folded hands, if you release them, we will end the blockade. The farmers ended the blockade after a lot of persuasion.
