MP Shri Alok Sharma met the Union Law Minister regarding setting up of High Court Bench in Bhopal or linking it to Indore
Bhopal (Team Newsbuddy): MP Alok Sharma met Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in New Delhi and demanded setting up of High Court Bench in Bhopal. In the letter submitted to the Union Law Minister, MP Sharma has mentioned the practical difficulties faced by the people of Bhopal district in going to Jabalpur High Court for their judicial cases. MP Sharma requested Union Minister Meghwal that if there is any obstacle in bringing High Court Bench to Bhopal, then the judicial jurisdiction of Bhopal district should be linked to Indore, which will provide relief to the people from time and excessive money expenditure. During the discussion with the Union Law Minister, MP Alok Sharma told that efforts are being made for a long time to set up a High Court Bench in Bhopal. But no concrete efforts have been made so far to fulfill the resolution of providing cheap and accessible justice to the public. While the main bench or bench of the High Court is established in the capitals of most of the states in the country.
Suggestion given to connect it with Indore Bench
MP Alok Sharma has suggested to Union Minister Arjunram Meghwal that if there is any problem in establishing a High Court Bench in Bhopal, then the judicial jurisdiction of Bhopal district should be connected to Indore. The distance of Indore is less than Jabalpur. The public and government officials can go in the morning for hearing of judicial matters and return home by evening. In this way, not only will the wastage of time and money of the public stop, but the excessive burden on the government treasury will also be reduced. Government employees have to travel to Jabalpur for their promotion and hearing of other cases, which creates problems.
It is an old demand of lawyers
The lawyers and the Bar Association have also been trying for a long time to bring a High Court Bench in Bhopal. At present, the judicial area of Bhopal is Jabalpur. There is a waste of time and money in traveling from Bhopal to Jabalpur. If Bhopal’s judicial jurisdiction is added to Indore, the public will get a lot of relief. Lawyers also have to spend a lot of time going to Jabalpur to plead cases. MP Sharma has not only written about the practical problems of the general public, lawyers and government officials in his letter, but has also suggested to stop government expenses.
Public time and money will be saved
MP Alok Sharma said that if the judicial area of Bhopal district is added to the Indore Bench, then both the public time and money will be saved. Along with this, the government’s resolution of providing cheap and accessible justice to the public will also be fulfilled.
