Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : “We are living in the golden age of Indian youth. The world today is digitally connected, and our youth can do anything. What is needed is fire within you to identify problems of the world and find its solutions,” said RSS Pracharak and Sewa International activist Ravi Kumar Iyer while addressing students at an Awareness Session on Moral and Cultural Values, organised by the Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Indore, on Thursday.

Representing the All India Outreach Team of the Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation (IMCTF), Iyer urged students to devote at least one day every week to solving real-life and real-world problems. “Our young revolutionaries sacrificed their lives for the motherland. The same power exists in today’s youth, who are achieving top positions globally at a very young age,” he said.

Citing examples of achievers, he highlighted the success of Indra Nooyi, who served as CEO of PepsiCo for 12 years, and mentioned Indian-origin leaders who rose to become Prime Ministers, Presidents, Vice-Presidents of different countries, and CEOs of leading multinational companies worldwide. “Their rise reflects the strength of Indian family values. Middle-class families are the true torchbearers of these values, he said, adding that our management education too must be India-centric, rooted in our culture and traditions.

Encouraging students to make their parents and teachers their role models, he said, “There are three people in your life—your mother, father, and teachers—who can make you great or ordinary. It depends on what you learn from them. Spread the stories of India’s great luminaries in world languages so that Indian values reach across the globe.”

Earlier, Dr. Gunvant Singh Kothari, National Convenor of the Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation, interacted with PIMR faculty members and called on them to take the mission of value education seriously. “Inculcating moral and cultural values is essential to make students good human beings. India’s vision has always been of a duty-oriented society, where every individual contributes selflessly to the nation. Everything that exists in our society and country has some form of divinity, and this perspective must guide our education system,” he said.

On this occasion, Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation and Chancellor of Prestige University, reiterated the institute’s commitment to nation-building. “At Prestige, we are committed to promoting values and culture among students. Respect your parents, teachers, and elders, emulate Indian traditions, and contribute to the growth of the nation,” he told the students.

The event was also addressed by Dr. S. S. Bhakar, Group Director of PIMR, and Col. (Dr.) S. Raman Iyer, Director of PIMR UG Campus. The programme was conducted by Prof. Nidhi Sharma and attended by a large number of students, faculty, and dignitaries, including Radheshyam Sharma, President of Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Sanstha.
