Woman nabbed with brown sugar worth Rs 1 cr, ₹48.5 lakh cash recovered

Indore police say that female smuggler Seema Nath has earned a huge amount by selling drugs. The accused woman already has 12 cases registered against her in different police stations.
Indore(Team Newsbuddy): A woman was arrested in city on Monday for possessing brown sugar worth Rs 1 crore. Police have started questioning the accused in this case.
Crime Prevention Branch Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi said that the police recovered 516 grams of banned substance from the house of accused Seema Nath in Ahirkhedi area.
He said that the woman was dealing in drugs for the last several years. Police have also recovered Rs 48.5 lakh in cash and electronic weighing scale from her house.
Rajesh Kumar Tripathi said that the evidence found from the spot clearly shows that the female smuggler has earned a huge amount by selling drugs. He said that an FIR has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police officer said that 12 cases are already registered against the accused woman. The police is now engaged in further detailed investigation.
