BJP government’s anti-OBC reservation mindset exposed

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): State Congress spokesperson Amit Chaurasia said that on the issue of OBC reservation, the BJP government of the state is repeatedly getting trapped in its own web. On August 18, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) had said in its counter affidavit filed in the Supreme Court that the petitions demanding 27% reservation for OBCs are not admissible and should be dismissed. But now the same commission is apologizing and applying to withdraw that affidavit. It is clear that the commission had taken this step at the behest of the state government and when the government realized that this would expose its anti-OBC mindset, drama and gimmicks were immediately started.

Chaurasia said that it is worth noting that the state government itself appoints the chairman, member and secretary of MPPSC. In such a situation, to believe that the affidavit of the commission was different from the government’s intention is just a joke.

The then Congress government had implemented 27% reservation for OBCs by completing all the procedures and making a law. The Supreme Court and the High Court have clarified several times that there is no ban on this. Still, the current BJP government is constantly complicating the reservation process by creating new conspiracies.

He said that calling an all-party meeting by the government is also a conspiracy to mislead the public. When the Congress government has already implemented 27% reservation, then why is there a need for an all-party meeting? It is clear that the BJP government is trying to trick and confuse the OBC community.

The state Congress spokesperson demanded from the Chief Minister that just as the MPPSC has asked the Supreme Court to withdraw its affidavit and apologize, in the same way the state government should also apologize for its old conspiracies and implement the 27% OBC reservation given by the Congress government with immediate effect. The BJP government’s actions of cheating and misleading the OBC community will not work anymore.
