Cong leader Golu Agnihotri property worth Rs 34 cr attached: ED action

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightened its grip on Congress leader Golu Agnihotri. Ten months ago, ED raided Golu’s house and office. He is accused of running online betting and dibba trading. A case was also registered against him then. ED has attached property worth Rs 34 crore of Golu and his six associates. Apart from cash, it includes agricultural land, flats, petrol pumps, plots and other properties.
Golu’s business partners are Hitesh Agarwal, Tarun Srivastava, Karan Solanki, Dhawal Jain, Srinivas and others. ED’s investigation revealed that Golu and his partners operated several platforms and earned crores of rupees from betting and dibba trading. Money was given to investors and participants through hawala channels and crypto. Money was spent here and there by money laundering.
Golu has property in Maharashtra and other cities apart from Indore. Apart from this, there are offices in Mumbai and Pune too. They are also being traced. Golu and his associates have links to Dubai in the betting business.
Golu Agnihotri has been the working president of Indore city Congress committee. Apart from this, he had also got a ticket for the assembly constituency once, but due to opposition, the candidate was changed. Golu is counted among Kamal Nath supporters. Golu’s brother Raja Agnihotri and Golu’s wife have also been councilors.
