Raipur Press Club Election – Poised for close fight among candidates

Raipur(Pankaj Singh Thakur )It’s all set for close fight in Raipur Press Club elections slated on February 17 after a gap of nearly five years. A total of five panels candidates are contesting for the various coveted posts and are confident of their win win status.

There is a lot of curiosity in the journalist world about the pictures of the candidates for the voting to be held on 17th February after the withdrawal of nominations. It has become clear that 29 candidates are in the fray for the one postof President, two posts for Vice President,one post for General, one post of Treasurer and two posts of Joint Secretary, who are seen trying their luck through five different panels. In the electoral battle of the Press Club, there are five panels.

The names of the panels are as follows:

✌Damu Ambadare Progressive Panel

✌Anil Pusadkar Prestige Panel

✌Sandeep Puranik Brahmin Panel

✌ Sukant Rajput Independent Panel

✌Prafulla Thakur Sankalp Panel

The existence of this mainly ruling panel came to light 5 years ago in 2018, when Damu became the president by defeating big stalwarts, but amid the elections not being held on time and questions being raised regarding the operation of the press club, he lost his position. While trying to fix the image, Damu has tried to create a good balance by including representatives of all media sections in its panel, the progressive panel has Damu Ambadare as the chairman,

At the same time, Manoj Nayak, a well-known name in crime reporting of electronic media, has been given the opportunity as Vice President.
Deepak Pandey of clean image, who has held the post of President of Photo Generalist Organization, is in the race for the post of General Secretary.

Well-known journalist and TV debater Anil Dwivedi is in the fray for Treasurer, while for Joint Secretary, the progressive panel has fielded Ramesh Yadav and Shravan Yadu from print media and has presented a good combination panel to the journalist fraternity.
Brahmin Para Panel is considered to be the oldest in the electoral history of the Press Club. This panel has been continuously fighting with full strength in every election. This panel has a huge bank of committed voters, that is why every time Brahmin Para Panel Officials are also elected in maximum numbers, however, due to past mistakes, the post of Chairman has been away from this panel for many years, this panel has once again fielded Sandeep Puranik, due to his understanding of the strategy. I don’t know why the well-known Brahmin Para panel seems to have used the heart rather than the brain in making the panel with tight hands, this is the reason why there is lack of combination and political coordination in this panel. ,,
