Farmers to stage protest, gherao district collector office
2 min readRaipur. Ankit Bagbahra, the flamboyant Congress leader of Khallari assembly and who has always fought the fight for the farmers vocally, said that as per the pre-determined schedule, due to the problem of innumerable power cuts and low voltage in all the villages under Khallari assembly, on one hand, the farmers’ Rabi crops are dying. On the other hand, exams are looming and their studies are also being disrupted due to power cuts.
Farmers were made aware of the electricity problem through continuous memorandum and telephone in Bagbahra, Komakhan, Tendukona, Khallari electricity offices, but even after 10 days there was no improvement, rather the power cut increased further. And if the situation continues like this for the next week, the farmers’ Rabi crop will be completely ruined. In order to demand immediate improvement in such a situation and find a permanent solution to it, today, March 1, 2024, in the name of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, a march on foot will be held from Baronda Chowk at 11 am and the demand letter will be surrounded and the District Collector’s office will be handed over.
Ankit said that in case the demands are not met, if necessary, chakka jam will also be done in the interest of farmers. Ankit has also requested all the farmer friendly leaders, farmers, students, public representatives and all the farmer friendly political party leaders of Mahasamund district that if they are true farmer supporters then they should come forward and participate enthusiastically in this event. Make this event for the benefit of farmers successful.
