Madhya Pradesh Regional Industry conclave kicks off with ambitious targets & high hopes

Ujjain(K K Jha).Chief Minister Mohan Yadav set an optimistic tone at the onset of the two-day regional industry conclave in Ujjain, expressing confidence that it will serve as a catalyst for comprehensive growth across the state. With the state government aiming to attract investments exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore, the conclave has drawn participation from over 800 investors worldwide.
Emphasizing the importance of translating MoUs into tangible projects on the ground, Chief Minister Yadav underscored the government’s commitment to expediting project execution. “Our focus is not just on signing MoUs but on swift implementation. This conclave aims to facilitate immediate action on investment plans,” he stated. Notably, the Ujjain regional industry conclave has already formalized business agreements worth Rs 1 lakh crore, with land allotted for approximately 250 industrial projects set to generate over 20,000 direct employment opportunities.
Looking ahead, Chief Minister Yadav announced plans for similar regional conclaves in Jabalpur, Rewa, and Gwalior, with a focus on inaugurating industrial units and laying foundation stones during these events.
The inauguration of the 2024 Regional Industry Conclave in Ujjain was marked by ceremonial rituals, including the lighting of the lamp and Kanya Puja, by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The occasion also witnessed the allocation of a substantial sum of Rs 1576 crore for the Ladli Behna Yojana, underscoring the government’s commitment to women’s welfare.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined the event virtually, hailed the conclave as a moment of pride, envisioning Ujjain’s transformation into a vibrant industrial hub akin to Mini Bombay shortly.
