Regional Industry conclave: Madhya Pradesh secures over Rs 1.1 lakh crore investments

Ujjain(K K Jha) LTI Mindtree, a leading technology company, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the state government of Madhya Pradesh, demonstrating a commitment of Rs 500 crore towards establishing its cutting-edge campus near the Super Corridor in Indore. This strategic move is poised to invigorate the region’s technological landscape. The state government, aligning with its progressive IT policy, has allocated 10 acres of prime land for this purpose.
In another significant development, PepsiCo Group has announced a substantial investment of Rs 1250 crore in Ujjain, heralding a new era of economic growth and employment prospects for the region. This initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 500 individuals, fostering socio-economic development.
Furthermore, the Adana Group’s monumental commitment of Rs 75,000 crore in the state underscores a transformative phase in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial landscape. This substantial investment is anticipated to create around 10,000 technical employment opportunities, bolstering the state’s economic prosperity.

During the two-day Regional Industry Conclave, spearheaded by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, over 20 industrial conglomerates engaged in fruitful discussions, culminating in investment proposals totaling approximately Rs 17,000 crores. Additionally, 880 industrial units have expressed keen interest in investing over Rs 1 lakh crore across various sectors, showcasing the burgeoning investor confidence in the state.
Dr. Yadav, in a proactive stance towards facilitating industrial growth, personally facilitated land allotment orders to 283 large-scale and MSME units during the conclave, representing an investment exceeding Rs 12,170 crore. Moreover, the conclave witnessed the virtual inauguration of 63 industrial units, symbolizing a stride towards digital transformation in the industrial sector.
The conclave, characterized by five insightful regional sessions conducted over two days, meticulously delineated sector-specific investment opportunities. Topics ranging from MSMEs and startups to investment prospects in dairy, agro, and food processing, infrastructure development, and religious tourism were deliberated upon, fostering an environment conducive to informed investment decisions.

In a testament to the state’s commitment to holistic development, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated air ambulance services during the conclave, aimed at providing essential healthcare access to marginalized sections of society.

The two-day Regional Industry Conclave witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 4,000 representatives hailing from diverse global destinations such as the USA, UK, Canada, CG, Germany, Israel, Japan, Gabon, South Korea, Singapore, Zambia, and Malaysia. This diverse participation underscores the international appeal and significance of Madhya Pradesh as a burgeoning investment destination on the global stage.
