Sisters of self-help group traveled by air for the first time
1 min readRaipur . 64 women, members of self-help groups of special backward tribes of the state, Baiga, Birhor, Pahari Korba, Kamar, will leave for Delhi by plane this evening. All the women will reach Rashtrapati Bhavan and meet President Draupadi Murmu. There she will present them gifts made by her group. She will visit Amrit Udyan located in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
These women are under self-help groups of different districts of the state, Kabirdham, Balrampur, Raigarh, Dhamtari, Korba, Gariaband and Jashpur. These women, who have become self-reliant by boosting their income by running their own groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, are being taken to Delhi by plane on the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma.Today, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma welcomed the women of women self-help group from the residence office and sent them to Delhi. The Deputy Chief Minister presented him a bag, jacket and a box of Chhattisgarhi delicacies as a gift.
Vijay Sharma told Deputy Chief Minister that 64 didis of special backward tribes are going to Rashtrapati Bhavan by plane to meet President Draupadi Murmu. These women will meet the President and present the products of their groups to the President. Didis will visit Amrit Udyan, the market set up for selling the products of women of self-help groups and Delhi.
