CM Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurates Jagar-2024 ‘Handicrafts and Handloom’ exhibition

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the Jagar-2024 ‘Handicrafts and Handloom’ exhibition in the capital Raipur by lighting the lamp. 130 skilled handicraftsmen from 13 states across the country have set up stalls in this exhibition which is being organized at the Chhattisgarh Haat complex located in Pandari. In this exhibition which will last for 10 days, stalls of various artistic items, handloom clothes and household items have been set up. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, MLA Purandar Mishra were also present on this occasion. The guests also encouraged the artisans after visiting the stalls.
Chief Minister Sai honored five accomplished craftsmen of the state with state level awards for the year 2021-22 at the inauguration ceremony of Jagar-2024. These include bell metal craftsman Sundarlal Jhara village Ektal post Netnagar, development block Pusaur district Raigarh, nearby Vishwakarma iron craftsman village Kidaichhepara (Dogriguda) post Palari district Kondagaon-Bastar, Mandhar Kashyap wood craftsman village Bhond (Pandupara) post Lamker district Bastar, Brihaspati Jaiswal Godna craft village. Mungadih Post Pali District Korba and Babi Sonwani Mural Painting Shilpi Village Sirkotanga Post Lahpatara Development Block Lakhanpur District Surguja were honored by giving them sal, quince, certificate, memento and a check of Rs 25,000 each. On this occasion, souvenirs of state level awards given to accomplished artisans were also released by the guests.
