Indore Mayor demands urgent action on Tulsi Nagar plot regularization
2 min readIndore: In a resolute response to the perceived negligence of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) officials regarding the regularization process of plots in Tulsi Nagar colony, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav voiced his strong discontent during a convened meeting on Tuesday afternoon. The Mayor left no room for ambiguity as he instructed the officials from the IMC’s colony cell to accelerate the legalization process for the 532 plots of Tulsi Nagar colony within the next day or two.
The meeting, held at the Municipal Corporation office, saw the presence of several key figures, including SDM Ghanshyam Dhankar, IMC Colony Cell InCharge, and representatives from the Tulsi Nagar Residents Association such as Rajesh Tomar, Shiv Bahadur Singh, Sanjay Yadav, Rahul Thakkar, and Neeraj Tiwari, alongside other colony residents.
Notably, this meeting convened almost three months following the submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the district administration for the regularization of the 532 plots in Tulsi Nagar colony.
Mayor Bhargav minced no words as he rebuked the officials for the delay in moving forward with the regularization of the Tulsi Nagar plots. Expressing profound displeasure over what he perceived as a lackadaisical approach from the officers, he demanded swift action to finalize the regularization process within the stipulated timeframe.
KK Jha, Convenor of the Ward Numbers 36-37 Residents Federation, shed light on the prolonged struggle endured by the residents of Tulsi Nagar in their quest for regularization. He highlighted the intervention of the former Indore Collector, Dr. T Ilayaraja, who diligently examined the matter and subsequently issued the NOC for the 532 plots to the Municipal Corporation prior to the Assembly elections. However, the inertia displayed by the Municipal Corporation has prolonged the ordeal for the residents.
