Raipur : World Travel and Tourism Council India Initiative has given award to Chhattisgarh government for remarkable work in the field of tourism. The award was presented by G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant and Manish Saxena, Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Central Government, at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi. WTTCII is the largest organization working in the travel and tourism sector. On this occasion, Deep Kalra, Founder Chairman of MakeMyTrip, Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Chairperson of Hotel Lalit, Priya Paul, Chairperson of Park Group, KB Kachru, CEO of Radisson Blu Group and many other personalities from the industry were present. On this occasion, Amitabh Kant said that during the last 10 years, world class facilities for tourism have been developed in the country and now the next century belongs to India.
On behalf of the Culture, Tourism and Education Minister of Chhattisgarh, Brijmohan Agarwal, his Officer on Special Duty Atul Singhal received this award. Honorable Minister Shri Aggarwal said that Chhattisgarh now has a double engine government and the pace of development had slowed down in the last 5 years. But they have again got the wings of development. He said that there are immense possibilities of tourism in Chhattisgarh, which the government is implementing with full commitment.
