Rajnandgaon. The first All India Sub Junior Women Grass Root Hockey Competition is being organized in Rourkela from March 11 at the world’s largest Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium. Chhattisgarh hockey team has defeated Odisha HTC Bamra team by five goals against zero in the quarter final match of the competition. Chhattisgarh team had put pressure on Bamra team as soon as the match started, as a result of which Bamra team did not get a chance to recover and in the match, Paridhi, Vasundhara and Surekha scored one goal each and Khwaish won two goals. Defeated the team of by five goals. Team coach international hockey player Mrinal Choubey said that Bamra’s team had intensified its attack after conceding the goal and earned three penalty corners in the first half and two penalty corners in the second half of the match, but the players of the defense line of Chhattisgarh hockey team did not play well. It failed. Khwaish received the Player of the Match award in the match. on the team’s victory
