Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : The Prestige Indore International Film Festival shone brighter on its second day as renowned actors Shahbaz Khan, Marianne Borgo, and Arya Sharma graced the event with their invaluable insights into the world of cinema.

In an intimate setting, students and faculty had the rare opportunity to engage in heartfelt conversations with thespians Shahbaz Khan and Marianne Borgo. The actors generously shared their experiences, offering a glimpse into the nuances of acting and the ever-evolving landscape of the film industry. Shahbaz Khan, known for his mesmerizing performances, emphasized the significance of confidence and continuous self-study in the journey of an actor.
Reflecting on his own humble beginnings, he revealed how a passion for singing led him to discover his love for acting, starting with humble roots in theater. Khan’s portrayal of Haider Ali remains etched in the annals of cinema, and his three mantras of acting – staying open-minded, surrounding oneself with positivity, and nurturing spiritual connection – resonated deeply with the audience. 

Meanwhile, Marianne Borgo’s journey from overcoming childhood dyslexia to pursuing her dreams of acting inspired attendees. Despite familial objections, Borgo pursued her passion relentlessly, eventually finding success on the stages of London. Her message to students echoed the festival’s theme: to pursue dreams with unwavering determination.

With a career spanning decades, Sharma debunked the myth that age is a barrier to success, citing examples like Bowman Irani, whose late entry into acting serves as a testament to the adage “it’s never too late to follow your dreams.” 

Her poignant advice to students emphasized the importance of sacrifice and perseverance in the pursuit of excellence.

The festival also showcased the creative prowess of aspiring filmmakers through the exhilarating 48-hour film-making competition. Among the standout entries, “The Last Attempt” by a team from Ujjain emerged victorious, captivating audiences with its innovative storytelling. 

Additionally, “Death Warrant” by The Gangs of Cinetown and “Deadline” by Team Rocket garnered praise for their artistic merit, reaffirming the festival’s commitment to nurturing budding talent.

Evening Delights: Open Air Theater and Special Screening

As the day unfolded, attendees were treated to a mesmerizing open-air theater experience at the Phoenix Citadel Mall. The enchanting screening of “Ranjhana” beneath the starry skies added a touch of magic to the evening, captivating audiences with its cinematic brilliance.

One-on-one conversations featuring actors Luke Kenny and Manish Wadhwa will be held on the concluding day of the festival. Additionally, the evening will culminate in a pulsating live performance by renowned DJ Oli Isse at the Phoenix Citadel Mall, ensuring an unforgettable conclusion to this cinematic extravaganza.
