The names of Congress MLA Devendra Yadav, Congress leader Vinod Tiwari and Congress spokesperson RP Singh, former MLA Chandradev Rai, former Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, State Administrative Service officer Soumya Chaurasia, IAS Ranu Sahu and IAS Sameer Bishnoi are also included in the coal scam.
All three officers are in jail. It is noteworthy that ED had exposed the coal levy scam of Rs 540 crore in Chhattisgarh. According to the ED, a cartel of officials, businessmen and politicians was formed for the transportation of coal. Which used to charge Rs 25 per tonne for transportation of coal.
