All police officers on deputation to Election Commission

Raipur. For the conduct of Lok Sabha elections-2024, all the police officers of the state government will be considered on deputation to the Election Commission and will be under the control of the Commission. In this regard, a notification to this effect has been issued today by the Home Department of Chhattisgarh Government from Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, Atalnagar.

In pursuance of the provisions of section of the Representation of the People Act and keeping in view the instructions given in the circular of the Election Commission of India, all the police officers designated by the State Government for the conduct of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, starting from the date of notification requiring such election. shall be deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission for a period ending on the date of declaration of the results of such election and, accordingly, such police officers shall, during that period, be subject to the control, superintendence and discipline of the Election Commission.
