Lok Sabha Tangle: Congress yet to announce names of four candidates

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy). Congress’s list for the Lok Sabha elections was released . It was expected that the fog on all the seats of Chhattisgarh would be cleared and the picture would be clear as to which candidates are going to contest the elections, but Congress could decide only on the Bastar seat. The names for the remaining 4 seats will still have to be awaited. Why is Congress not able to decide the names of the candidates?

Congress, which has suffered defeat in the Chhattisgarh assembly elections, has not yet recovered from its impact. Its confusion regarding the tickets for the Lok Sabha elections is not ending. Even after a long wait, it could decide the candidate only on the Bastar seat. The announcement of candidates on the remaining 4 seats Bilaspur, Kanker, Surguja and Raigarh is yet to be made.

Experts say that Congress wants to give ticket to a Yadav from Bilaspur seat. BJP has not given ticket to any Yadav in entire Chhattisgarh. Congress can field Vishnu Yadav from here. Two-three names are in discussion for Raigarh seat. BJP has fielded Radheshyam Rathia from here. Congress can give ticket to MLA Laljit Rathia or Chakradhar Sidhar from this seat. BJP has given ticket to Chintamani Maharaj, who came to BJP from Congress, from Surguja seat. Congress is preparing to field Shashi Singh against him. Amarjeet Bhagat was also being prepared to be given ticket from here but after his name came in IT raid, this name did not move forward. Biresh Thakur’s name is in discussion for Kanker seat, who lost the 2019 election by a margin of 5 thousand votes. Congress is also considering the names of Mohan Markam and PCC President Deepak Baij from this seat.
