Congress internal rift : Bhupesh Baghel first, now Kawasi Lakhma’s candidature at stake

Raipur. Congress leaders had expressed dissatisfaction against Bhupesh Baghel’s Lok Sabha candidature from Rajnandgaon. After this, now there has been a demand to cancel the ticket of former cabinet minister Kawasi Lakhma. In this regard, the Congress leader has written a letter to Mallikarjun Kharge demanding cancellation of his candidature from Bastar.
Congress’s internal rift is surfacing in Chhattisgarh. Some Congress leaders had expressed dissatisfaction against Bhupesh Baghel’s Lok Sabha candidature from Rajnandgaon. After this, now a letter of another Congress leader has surfaced against the candidate from Bastar and former cabinet minister Kawasi Lakhma.
This letter has been written to AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge. In this, there is a demand to withdraw the nomination of Kawasi Lakhma citing corruption as the reason. Congress released its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on March 8. The party had announced 39 names in this list, out of which six candidates were from Chhattisgarh.
Congress had fielded former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel from Rajnandgaon. Since then, Congress leaders started opposing him. It is being said that veteran Congress leader Ramkumar Shukla had written a letter to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge demanding to cut Bhupesh Baghel’s ticket.
