Training camp for self-compiling returns of Annual Survey of Industries held

Raipur. The Annual Survey of Industries is conducted every year by the National Statistical Office (Field Operations Division), Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India. Under this, the prescribed returns are filled by the selected industrial units and submitted to the National Statistical Office. A training camp was organized by the National Statistical Office, Regional Office, Raipur at Bhakta Mata Karma Complex, New Rajendra Nagar, Raipur for these industrial units to self-compile of the returns on the web portal. The program was presided over by Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, National Statistical Office, Raipur. The participants in the program were welcomed by Ashutosh Awasthi, Deputy Director, National Statistical Office, Raipur. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General.

Presiding over the program, Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, National Statistical Office, Raipur, while highlighting the importance of this survey, said that according to the Collection of Statistics Act 2008 and the rules made under it, Annual Industry Survey is conducted every year by the National Statistical Office. Under this, all the selected industrial units are allotted user ID and password on the web portal. The units themselves have to compile and submit the returns within the prescribed time limit. For this, a training program has been organized with the aim of training the industrial units to compile the returns themselves. He called upon the industrial units to make maximum efforts to self-compile the returns.
At the end of the inaugural session, C.P.S. Markam, Assistant Director expressed his gratitude to the representatives of all the industrial units present in the program. In the second session of this program, R.K. Srivastava, O. P. Sahu, R.N. Soni, S.K. Behera and S.K. Rana, Senior Statistical Officers, of National Statistical Office Raipur trained the representatives of industrial units to self-compile the returns on the web portal.

In the above training camp, representatives of various industrial units of Raipur Vandana Ispat, Heera Cement, Heera Ispat, Rotocast Industries, Navbharat Press, Vijay Transmission, Greenmac Technology, Tarni Steel, Rama Udyog, Ram Iron Steel, Shubh Honda, Vaswani Industries and Har Chand Rai. Harimal etc. participated. Hemant Vrije, Anup Baa, Bhiroj Lenka, Roshan Kumar, Senior Statistical Officers from Raipur office, guided the selected units to complete the returns themselves.

It is noteworthy that through the Annual Survey of Industries, data related to capital, turnover, value addition, fuel and raw materials and input-output etc. of industrial units is collected. Apart from this, industrial data related to employment, number of working days and social security benefits are also collected. The data obtained is used for estimation of national income and estimation of Gross Domestic Product.
