Chhindwara Mayor, close to Nath, joins BJP, said – Tribals did not get respect
2 min readBhopal (News Buddy): Congress has suffered another setback in Chhindwara. Chhindwara Mayor Vikram Ahake, a close aide of former CM Kamal Nath, joined BJP in Bhopal. The special thing is that on becoming mayor, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi praised his struggle and congratulated him and called him a struggling farmer’s son. Along with Ahake, Chhindwara Municipal Corporation Chairman Pramod Sharma also joined BJP. Ahanke alleged that Nakulnath insulted tribal MLA Ch Kamlesh Shah. They are hurt by this.
Mayor Ahake joined the BJP and in the evening, in the presence of CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, a large number of workers from Shahpura village of Chhindwara assembly, Bichua of Chaurai Vis and Chand village joined the BJP. There is speculation about former MLA Deepak Saxena also joining BJP. This is the first time that before the Lok Sabha elections, there is a queue of people leaving Congress and joining BJP in Chhindwara.
So far, in Chhindwara Lok Sabha, Amarwada MLA Kamlesh Pratap Shah, former Chaurai MLA Gambhir Singh, former District Panchayat President Sitaram Daheriya, Congress State General Secretary Ajay Thakur, Parduna Municipality President Sandeep Ghatode and 7 councilors have joined BJP. In this way, more than 5 thousand Congress workers including big leaders have joined BJP. Along with MLA Kamlesh Pratap Shah, his sister former District Panchayat President Kesar Netam and wife Madhavi Shah former Municipality President have joined BJP. Lok Sabha elections are to be held here on April 19. After Amarwada MLA Kamlesh Pratap Singh joined BJP, this seat has been declared vacant. Its notification has been issued. By-election will be held on this seat within 6 months.
