New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy). After David Willey was ruled out for IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants have now included New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry as a replacement player in his place. David Willey withdrew his name before the start of this season due to personal reasons. The Lucknow team did not announce the name of the replacement player at that time, while now they have decided to add Matt Henry to their team after playing the first match in the season. Henry has been added to the team by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 1 crore 25 lakh.

Matt Henry, who plays international cricket from the New Zealand team, is known for his fast speed, in which he consistently bowls at a speed of 140 plus, so he can prove to be very useful for the team in the death overs with the new ball. Matt Henry has previously been a part of the Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings teams in the IPL, in which he has played only 2 matches so far, which he got a chance to play with the Punjab Kings team in the year 2017. Henry has played 25 Tests, 82 ODIs and 17 T20 matches for the New Zealand team so far.
