Three Naxalites killed in encounter with police
1 min readBijapur (Team Newsbuddy). Security forces on Saturday killed three Naxalites in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district bordering Telangana. LMG, AK-47 and Bharmar gun have been recovered from the spot. Naxalite Sagar, carrying a reward of Rs 25 lakh, has also been killed in the encounter. He was a member of CRC (Central Regional Committee). Police officials said that the encounter took place near Dolliguda village of Usur at around 5.30 am. At that time, a team of Telangana’s elite anti-Naxal force Greyhounds was on patrol in the area. A team of Chhattisgarh Police was also present to help him. An official said, after the firing stopped, apart from the bodies of three Naxalites, a light machine gun, an AK-47 rifle, several other weapons and ammunition were recovered from the spot. Earlier this week, 13 Naxalites, including three women, were killed in another encounter in Bijapur district.
