2 min readNow demands government job back
Bhopal (Team Newsbuddy). Nisha Bangre, who resigned from the post of Deputy Collector to contest elections, now wants her government job back. Nisha Bangre had written a letter to the General Administration Department in January itself to give her job back, but this application is still pending with the government.
Nisha Bangre resigned on June 23, 2023 to contest elections from the Congress party. She fought with the state government to accept this resignation. Congress has shattered her dream of contesting elections and someone else was made a candidate on the seat from which Nisha wanted to contest.
Nisha Bangre said, ‘Congress had promised me a Lok Sabha ticket, but the party went back on its promise.’ When asked if she would join BJP if she gets an offer, she said, ‘I have not received any offer from BJP. I had written a letter to the General Administration Department in January itself to bring me back into service. My application to take me back is pending with the government.’
Nisha Bangre wanted to contest from Amla seat on a Congress ticket during the assembly elections held in November last year. However, by the time the government accepted her resignation, Congress had announced another candidate from this seat.
She said that my family wants me to return to service. There is a provision for this in the MP Service Rules. There are also examples where government employees resigned, contested elections and returned to service after losing the elections. Bangre, who was the SDM of Lavkush Nagar in Chhatarpur district, had resigned on June 23, 2023 to contest the assembly elections, but the GAD had refused to accept her resignation.
