Make voters aware to increase voting percentage in urban areas: Reena Babasaheb Kangale

Raipur. Under Lok Sabha Elections-2024, Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale flagged off the bike rally and sweep express organized in Raipur district to make voters aware to exercise their franchise. He said that on the polling date, all the voters must come out of their homes and reach the polling station and exercise their franchise.

Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale said that it is a challenge for us to improve the voting percentage in urban areas and we need to make more efforts to make this task successful. He said that along with making all the people aware, we should also decide ourselves that we will definitely exercise our franchise.

Chief Electoral Officer Kangale said that the appeal being made by the Raipur District Administration to the voters to vote as much as possible through the bike rally is commendable. During the last assembly elections, he praised the women workers for conducting peaceful elections at all the polling stations in Raipur North Assembly constituency and expressed confidence that during the upcoming elections too, women workers will enthusiastically conduct the election work!

The bike rally started from the Collectorate campus and passed through Akashvani Chowk and ended at White House, Shyam Talkies, Lily Chowk, Purani Basti Vivekananda Ashram, NIT Campus, Nalanda Campus. Kangale herself was riding an e-scooter I Cube wearing a helmet, which had a placard of Election Ka Parv, Desh Ka Parv. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh was riding a Bullet wearing a helmet, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Avinash Mishra was sitting behind him.

It is worth mentioning that under the Lok Sabha elections 2024, voting will be held in three phases in the state. Under the third phase, the polling date for Raipur Lok Sabha constituency is 7 May.
