Voting continues in Bastar, voters walk three km to vote
1 min readJagdalpur (Team Newsbuddy): The first phase of voting for Bastar Lok Sabha seat of Chhattisgarh has started now. There are eight assembly constituencies in Bastar Lok Sabha constituency. Voting will be held in Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Chitrakoot, Dantewada, Bijapur and Konta from 7 am to 3 pm. Whereas voting is to be held in Bastar and Jagdalpur assembly constituencies from seven in the morning to five in the evening. A total of 11 candidates have come to try their luck in the electoral battle of this seat. However, there is a direct contest between Congress’ Kawasi Lakhma and BJP candidate Mahesh Kashyap. This time 14 lakh 72 thousand voters will cast their votes. This time 1961 polling stations have been set up for voting, polling parties have been transported to the polling stations which are in sensitive places with the help of helicopters.
