EOW gets remand of AP Tripathi, Anwar-Arvind sent to jail
1 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): In the alleged liquor scam case, the court has ordered the accused Anwar Dhebar and Arvind Singh to be sent to jail on judicial remand till May 2. During the hearing, accused and liquor businessman Arvind Singh demanded euthanasia.
During the hearing, Arvind Singh said that he is fed up with all this. On his demand, the court asked the lawyer to apply in a proper manner. Also said that it will be heard separately. At the same time, Arunpati Tripathi has also been sent to EOW remand till April 25.
In the liquor scam case, the ED arrested absconding liquor businessman Arvind Singh for the first time on June 12, 2023 from Ramnagar Muktidham in Durg. Arvind’s mother Kamala Devi had passed away, Arvind had reached for her last rites. Arvind Singh was lodged in Raipur Central Jail for the last 10 months in the liquor scam case.
The EOW team arrested him a day after he got bail from the High Court. Anwar Dhebar was also arrested along with Arvind Singh on April 4. The EOW interrogated both the accused by keeping them in custody for 14 days. After this, on April 18, after the hearing, the court sent them back to jail for 14 days till May 2.
