Accused arrested for raping 19 minors in ashram

Ujjain (Team Newsbuddy): A case of rape of 19 minors has come to light in Gurukul Dandi Ashram located on Badnagar Road. Late on Wednesday night, the police arrested the absconding accused sevadar from Ashta. On Thursday at 6:00 pm, the police reached Ujjain with him. In this case, the police had arrested the accused Acharya Rahul on Tuesday night itself. The police have registered a case against both the accused under the POCSO Act and other sections. Mahakal police station in-charge Ajay Verma said that children come to Gurukul Dandi Ashram located on Badnagar Road to study Vedas, rituals, and learn panditship. On Tuesday, a meeting of parents and ashram operator Gajanan Saraswati was held in the ashram.

In which 19 children studying in the ashram had said that Acharya Rahul Sharma and sevadar Ajay Thakur had raped them. After this, the operator Saraswati called the police and got Rahul Sharma arrested. The police was looking for Ajay Thakur. The police arrested him from Ashta late on Wednesday night. The police reached Ujjain with him at 6 am on Thursday. The police says that the accused will be presented in the court in the afternoon. SP Pradeep Sharma has formed an SIT on Wednesday itself to investigate the matter. It is being told that the advocates are preparing to release all the 19 victim children from the ashram.
