Rubaru’ programme hosted by State Press Club

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Tools like auto correct and the increase in many facilities in recording are making singers handicapped. There is no alternative to having a firm voice and practice. Even if you come from a small town, you can survive in Bollywood without any compromise on the basis of talent alone, I want to present an example of this.

She is winner of Saregama 2019 and first runner up of India’s Got Talent, Ishita Vishwakarma said in the ‘Rubaru’ programme organized by the State Press Club, Madhya Pradesh. She recalled those difficult moments when the thirteenth day rituals of her father, who had been trying to make her a great singer all his life, were completed and she got a call for the last audition of India’s Got Talent. Then she and her mother Tejal ji thought that if Ishita’s father Anjani Kumar was alive today, what decision would he have taken and then without caring about the society, they left for Mumbai for the audition. Ishita said that her own hard work is only 10% in her success and 90% contribution is of her parents’ sacrifice and penance.
Ishita told that only success in reality show does not get you a place in Bollywood. Success in the show only gives you entry and some connections, the rest of the hard work has to be done by yourself. Even after success in two shows, she recorded scratch songs for years. In one such song, her singing was liked by famous singer Arijit Singh, based on his praise, the producer released the recording of her voice and this way she got her first song, that too a duet with Arijit Singh. Ishita said that in the field of singing, one’s singing talent should be seen, not the attire or other things. She wants to become an example of the fact that for success in the film world, one has to make compromises or give up values. If you have talent, practice and patience, then you will get success on your own terms. In response to a question, she said that she wants to sing under the music direction of Vishal Mishra. Regarding singing old songs even today, she said that soul resides in old songs, so they will always remain alive, whereas in new songs there is more mechanical work than human perfection. In response to a question, she said that she learns a lot from many singers and musicians, but Lata Mangeshkar is her all-time favourite. Ishita delighted the journalists and music lovers with her melodious rendition of some songs.

Before the programme, State Press Club President Praveen Kumar Khariwal and Santosh Agnihotri honoured Ishita Vishwakarma. While Rachna Johri and Meena Rana Shah presented her with a memento and State Press Club publications. Journalist-cultural activist Alok Bajpai, who was conducting the programme, left his mark.
