Gariaband (Chhattisgarh) : Governor Ramen Deka held discussions with district level officials in the Gariaband Collectorate hall . Governor Deka, while discussing with the administrative officials, expected effective implementation of the government’s schemes. He took detailed information about health, education, employment, nutrition and other public welfare schemes in the meeting. Collector Deepak Agarwal gave detailed information regarding the implementation of schemes in the district and various works and events being done by the district administration.

The Governor took information about the work being done under skill development in the district and expected to engage women in livelihood-based activities by connecting them with self-employment. He gave suggestions to improve economic development along with skill upgradation by involving women in activities like animal husbandry, fish farming etc. Taking information about the schemes run under the Health Department, Governor Deka gave suggestions to organize the activities of Red Cross actively. He also gave suggestions to provide better health services by organizing health camps, blood donation camps. Taking information about the campaign being run for the prevention of illegal drugs in the district, he encouraged the officials to run continuous campaigns by keeping special vigil for the prevention of drugs. The Governor asked to encourage school children by connecting them with NCC. This will improve the learning of time management and discipline in children. After the meeting, the Collector presented Governor Deka with the face photo artwork of the Governor made by the women of the self-help group with para art. During this meeting, the Joint Secretary of the Governor, Hina Animesh Netam, along with district officials were present.

Nutrition kits provided to TB patients

Governor Deka took information about the ongoing campaign Nishchay Niramay Chhattisgarh 100-day identification and treatment of TB in the district. During this, he provided protein-rich nutrition kits to TB patients. He also enquired about their health and wished them better and good health. The Governor told the health department officials that there is a need to move forward in the direction of TB free district. He said that while moving forward in the direction of TB free district with public participation, motivate more and more people to become Nishchay Mitra to help TB patients.
