Moira Saria International World Tennis Tour Junior ITF J60 Grade-4 Tennis Championship
Indore (Team Newsbuddy): In the first round of the main round of the International World Tennis Tour Junior ITF J-60 Grade-4 Tennis Championship organized by Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association and sponsored by Moira Saria, Kanishka Khathuria, Adhiraj Thakur, Vivan Bidasariya and Pehal Kharadkar of Madhya Pradesh won in the boys and girls category respectively and entered the pre-quarterfinals.
The competition was inaugurated under the chief hospitality of Indore Tennis Club President Surendra Singh Garha and Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association President Anil Mahajan. On this occasion, Indian Tennis Association General Secretary Anil Dhupar, ITC Trustee Abhimanyu Singh Garha, Tournament Director Arjun Dhupar and Chief Referee Anton D’Souza were present. The event was conducted by Sajid Lodhi.
In the first round of the boys’ category of the international tennis tournament being played at the Indore Tennis Club, wild card Kanishk Kathariya from Madhya Pradesh gave an excellent performance and defeated Om Virams easily 6-1, 6-3, sixth seeded Adhiraaj Thakur from Madhya Pradesh defeated Abhinav 6-2, 6-0, and Vivan Bidasariya from Madhya Pradesh defeated Arnav Harishankar 6-2, 6-1 and entered the pre-quarterfinals.
In other matches of the boys category, top seed Samarth Sahita defeated Manan Aggarwal 6-0, 6-3, Saurish Modi defeated Ahaan Mishra 7-6(5), 2-6, 7-6(1) in a three-hour marathon match, while second seed Pranil Sharma defeated Aarush Bhalla 6-0, 6-0.
In the first round of the girls’ category, Madhya Pradesh’s emerging player Pehal Kharadkar defeated Aparna Khandare 6-1, 6-3 and reached the pre-quarterfinals. But Madhya Pradesh’s Insiya Mahuwala had to face defeat in the first round itself. In the first round, Akruti Sonkusare defeated Insiya 6-3, 6-0.
In other matches, Jaya Kapoor defeated Sanvi Mishra 6-0, 6-1, Nandini Kansal defeated Anushka Bhola 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, Haridas Singh defeated Disha Kumar 6-4, 6-2 to enter the pre-quarterfinals.
