Mumbai (Team Newsbuddy): The trailer of India’s first single-shot Hindi feature film “2020 Delhi” has been released. The film is based on the backdrop of the 2020 Delhi riots and highlights the struggles of ordinary citizens trapped in communal tensions, political conspiracies, and extraordinary circumstances.

The film will reveal how the CAA protests, which began in Shaheen Bagh, reached “Namaste Trump.” “2020 Delhi” is the story of a whole day on February 24, 2020, when Donald Trump was in Delhi, and the city was burning in the flames of riots. 53 people lost their lives in these riots.

Through “2020 Delhi,” filmmaker Devendra Malviya has attempted to bring to light the bitter truth of the Delhi riots, one of the most divisive events in recent history. Malviya said, “It was a huge challenge to depict such horrific riots and arson in a single shot. This film is proof that when creativity and determination come together, a filmmaker can achieve his goal.”

The film also exposes the plight of Hindu minorities in neighboring countries, particularly the atrocities faced by Hindu girls, including rape, murder, forced conversion, and bonded slavery. “2020 Delhi” will narrate the pain of countless Hindus who are dying in the hope of coming to India.

Devendra Malviya explains that in the one-shot technique, everything from script to choreography, acting, lighting, sets, and more must be perfectly synchronized to achieve the desired shot. “There is no room for error, making single-shot films a unique cinematic experience that makes the viewer feel like they are inside the film.”

Malviya’s film journey is a testament to perseverance and courage. After starting his career as an aspiring actor in Mumbai, he faced numerous challenges and rejections. Instead of giving up, he carved his own path outside the traditional film industry.

With “2020 Delhi,” Malviya has proven that impactful cinema can succeed outside of big studios or established networks. His work showcases dedication and the power of innovative storytelling, inspiring independent filmmakers across the country. The film features a talented cast, including Brijendra Kala, Samar Jai Singh, Siddharth Bhardwaj, Bhupesh Singh, Chetan Sharma, and Aakash Arora.
