SGSIT Indore celebrates Republic Day with great pomp & show

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Republic Day 2025 was celebrated with great pomp at Shri Govind Ram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore, an ancient and prestigious institute from Madhya Pradesh. The institute’s director Prof. Nitesh Purohit hoisted the flag in front of the main administrative building of the institute. NCC pilot cadets Saumya Dwivedi and cadets Anisha Katara welcomed him to the flag post.
The flag was saluted with rifles by the honor guard of the NCC cadets of the institute. After this, all the NCC cadets from the NCC unit of the institute saluted the flag by doing an attractive parade. The parade was commanded by Parade Commander Senior Under Officer Tanishka Bhatia. Under Officer Ayush Dwivedi performed the duty of Guard Commander.
Dean Academic of the Institute, Professor Lalit Purohit informed everyone about the special achievements achieved by various departments and sections of the Institute.
Director of the institute Prof. Nitesh Purohit while addressing everyone on this occasion said that educational institute is the most suitable medium to give invaluable contribution in nation building and society building and we all are very proud that we are working in the most prestigious technical educational institute of Madhya Pradesh. He congratulated everyone on the participation and contribution of the institute for saving 20 percent energy under Indore Climate Mission. He also highlighted the importance of new education policy. He asked to make every possible effort to improve the financial condition of the institute. He told that we are celebrating the 300th birth anniversary of Maa Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar which is a matter of pride for all of us.
After the address by the Director, cultural programmes filled with patriotism were organized in the institute in which songs were sung by the NCC unit, dance-drama by the NSS unit, dance by Kshitij Music Club, songs by the students of the Sports Department and poetry was recited by the staff.
The program was conducted by Captain (Dr.) Manish Jaiswal. On this occasion, Dean Administration Prof. Milind Dandekar, Dean Academic Prof. Lalit Purohit, all the department heads, former teachers, alumni etc. were present.
