PIMR students dive into Foreign Trade dynamics
1 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): To offer students a comprehensive understanding of foreign trade dynamics, its evolution, and societal impacts, the Prestige Institute of Management Research (PIMR) organized an enlightening event, “From Port to Port: A Dramatic Trade Chronicle.”. The event, organized by the Outreach Club of the PIMR, unfolded a rich discourse on the intricacies of international trade.
The highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring distinguished experts Gaurav Goyal, Assistant Director (Industrial Management & Training, Indore), and Rajneesh Sharma, Director (Global Trade House and Training Centre, Indore). They delved into the current challenges confronting international trade, shedding light on India’s export performance, with a specific focus on Madhya Pradesh and its MSME sector. They also elucidated the governmental initiatives bolstering foreign trade endeavors in India.
Adding a creative flair to the proceedings, students from the PIMR Outreach Club, mentored by Ankit Nandwal, staged a compelling skit elucidating the import-export procedures. This interactive portrayal provided attendees with a practical insight into the complexities of global trade operations.
Dr. Raksha Thakur, the event coordinator, emphasized the significance of the interactive session that ensued, facilitating meaningful exchanges between students, speakers, artists, and participants. The event proved to be a valuable networking opportunity for the 130 students from the Foreign Trade Department of PIMR. Col. Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director of the PIMR UG campus, and RJ Shaillee from Red FM Radio were among the prominent dignitaries who graced the event.
