Daly College Open All India Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament

Indore ( Team Newsbuddy): Representing Madhya Pradesh, Anya Rathi of Indore has reached the verge of double title. Anya entered the finals of girls singles and doubles category in the Daily College Open All India Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament organized in the city.

In the tournament being played in Daly College, players from various states of the country including Madhya Pradesh are presenting their challenge in boys and girls category. In the semi-final of the girls’ competition , Shravya Sojatiya, who is in great form, clashed with international player Anya Rathi. Anya was looking better than Shravya due to her experience, but Shravya did not surrender easily. Anya Rathi won this match 6-1, 7-5. Anya dominated in the first set, but after that Shravya made full efforts to make a comeback. But at the crucial moments, Anya used her experience and scored points and entered the final.

Now in the final, Anya will face international player Vaidehi Shukla of Indore. In another semifinal, Vaidehi Shukla defeated Suchita Tripathi 6-3, 6-1. Vaidehi dominated Suchita from the beginning and hit shots all around the court. In the first set, Suchita tried to challenge by playing some good shots, but Vaidehi took the lead with better service and ground strokes. In the second set, Vaidehi’s game was changed and she looked very aggressive. In the second set, the opponent player could score only one point.
The strong pair of Vaidehi and Anya entered the girls doubles final. In the semifinal, Vaidehi and Anya Rathi faced the pair of Riya and Aashna. Vaidehi and Anya showed impressive play and won the match easily 6-1, 6-2 and entered the final match. Now they will face the pair of Suchita and Sharvi. In another semifinal, the pair of Suchita and Sharvi defeated the pair of Anya Khan and Shravya 6-0, 6-0.

Boys’ category final between Shlok – Trishir:

In the first semi-final of boys, Hitarth Surana clashed with Shlok. Shlok won the first set easily, but he had to struggle a bit in the second set. It seemed that Hitarth would make a comeback, but scoring points at close chances, Shlok won the match 6-0, 6-4. Now he will face Trishir Dhawan in the final. In the second semi-final, Trishir defeated Indore’s Garv Malpani 6-2, 6-2.
In the semi-final of boys’ doubles, the pair of Meeresh and Hitarth defeated the pair of Ruhaan and Garv Malpani 6-2, 7-5 after a little struggle. Now they will face the pair of Trishir and Veereshwar in the final. In another semi-final, the pair of Trishir and Veereshwar defeated the pair of Avi and Shlok 4-6, 6-1, 0-6.
