President to attend AIIMS convocation, degrees to be given to 509 students

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): President Draupadi Murmu will attend the second convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the capital as the chief guest. AIIMS Executive Director Lieutenant General Ashok Jindal and Usha Jindal on Tuesday invited the President to attend the convocation at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. This time 509 medical students will be awarded degrees in the convocation. AIIMS management says that the date of the convocation has not been fixed.

Expected in the second week of July. Lieutenant General Jindal said that it is a moment of pride for AIIMS that the President has been invited for the ceremony. He has also requested the President to honor the gold medal winners with the keynote address at the convocation. Dean (Academic) Prof. Alok Chandra Agarwal said that this time in the convocation, 203 MBBS students (2017 and 2018 batch), 116 BSc (Nursing) students (2018 and 2019 batch), 143 MD, MS, MDS and 14 DM and MCH degrees will be awarded. Gold medals will be awarded to four students. Various committees have been formed by AIIMS for the smooth conduct of the convocation.
