The tiger had hunted an elderly man in the forest area of Raisen, adjacent to the capital Bhopal. Since then the forest department is looking for the tiger.
A forest official said that the half-eaten body of Maniram Jatav (62), a resident of Neemkheda village in Raisen district, was found on Wednesday in the eastern area of Raisen Forest Division, about 35 km from Bhopal district headquarters. The attack has spread panic in the villages, as such hunts are unheard of in the forest areas around Bhopal.
