Firing on soldiers returning with bodies of Naxalites

Narayanpur (Team Newsbuddy): There are reports of an encounter between soldiers and Naxalites on Friday in the Naxal-affected Abujhmad area of ​​the district. According to reports, the soldiers have killed another Naxalite in this encounter. It is being told that this encounter took place when the security force personnel were returning to the camp with the bodies of seven Naxalites killed in an encounter in Abujhmad area on Thursday. During this, the Naxalites who were lying in ambush started firing on the soldiers. One Naxalite is reported to have been killed in this encounter.

Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar confirmed the incident and said, based on the information about the presence of Naxalites of Platoon No. 16 and Indravati Area Committee in Pallevaya Handawada area bordering Narayanpur-Bijapur district, STF teams along with DRG and Bastar Fighters of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Bastar district went on a joint Naxal patrol search operation. On Friday, when the soldiers were returning with the bodies of the Naxalites, the Naxalites started firing on the team of soldiers. The STF soldiers also took up the front with alertness and fired back while taking safe cover. After the firing, the body of a uniformed Naxalite and weapons were recovered in the search.
