NIT Raipur hosts cricket premier league

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): The Sports Department of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur is going to organize the Cricket Premier League (CPL) in the month of June. This exciting event organized under the Fit India Movement aims to promote physical fitness, teamwork and healthy lifestyle among the faculty and staff of the institute.

The league started with an inaugural ceremony on 1 June 2024 at 6 am in which Professor Mining Engineering Dr. Manoj Pradhan was the guest of honor and special guest Dean (Faculty Welfare) Dr. D. Sanyal. He met all the team members and gave guidance for the Fit India Movement. 3 teams (NIT Royals, NIT Lions, NIT Strikers) are participating in the league. Faculty, research scholars and staff of the institute are members of these teams. All of them were present at the inaugural ceremony and after the inaugural ceremony the first match of the league started. This 10-match league will start from June 1, 2024 and will end on June 28, 2024 with a final match between the top 2 teams.

In the series of events of this league, a jersey unveiling ceremony was organized a day before, in which all the teams and Santosh Kumar Bajaj of the event sponsor Click Advisory were present. The Fit India Movement launched by the Government of India emphasizes the importance of physical activity and sports in daily life. In line with this vision, the Cricket Premier League at NIT Raipur will prove to be an exciting competition that will inspire everyone to adopt fitness and sportsmanship.
