Islamabad/New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who became a sensation on the internet with the song ‘Baddo Baddi’, has expressed a new desire. Chahat wants to become the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) so that he can bring the Pakistan team on the right track. Currently Mohsin Naqvi is the PCB chief, who is also the Minister of Internal Affairs. Chahat wants Naqvi to leave the post of PCB chairman for him as Naqvi already has important responsibilities. This statement of Chahat has come after the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team was eliminated from the current T20 World Cup.

Chahat said- I am ready to bring the PCB and the cricket team on the right track. If I am appointed chairman, I will personally monitor the performance of the players. Also, I will coach the team four days a week. I will focus on discipline in the team and will not tolerate any interference.

He said, ‘I am not criticizing Naqvi. I just want him to consider my proposal. Since he is also the Home Minister with important responsibilities, I believe that he should hand over the chairmanship of the PCB to me. This is not an insult to Mohsin Naqvi, but the post of PCB chairman is not for him.

Babar Azam’s unbeaten 32 helped Pakistan beat Ireland by three wickets on Sunday to end their disappointing campaign in the T20 World Cup. Pakistan struggled while chasing the target of 107 runs, but Babar held one end to ensure that the 2009 champions end their campaign well in the tournament. Shaheen Afridi and Imad Wasim took three wickets each against Ireland on Sunday, helping Ireland score 106 for nine after being invited to bat first.

Mohammad Aamir took two wickets, while Haris Rauf took one wicket. Pakistan and Ireland have already been eliminated from the tournament. Pakistan had to face defeat against USA in their very first match in this World Cup. After this upset, the team lost while chasing 120 runs against India.
