Chhattisgarh Government is making every effort for overall development of state

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy) : The new government in Chhattisgarh, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is working tirelessly to improve the lives of its people and enhance social conditions. The state government is making efforts to extend basic amenities such as education, healthcare, employment, roads, electricity, and water to remote areas. Initiatives like ‘Niyad Nellanar’ are driving significant positive changes.

The state government is making efforts to swiftly implement the administrative reforms under CM Sai’s leadership to enhance citizens’ convenience. Chhattisgarh has a significant population of farmers for which the state government is focused on fostering a supportive environment and ensuring financial stability for farmers. Under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the Sai government is purchasing paddy at Rs. 3,100 per quintal to ensure farmers’ prosperity. Additionally, the state government has disbursed a two-year pending paddy bonus of Rs. 3,716 crore to farmers. 

The state government has prioritised its efforts to provide houses to eligible beneficiaries. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government has decided to provide houses to over 18 lakh families. For this purpose, the state government has allocated Rs. 3,799 crore in the supplementary budget for 2023–24 and Rs. 8,369 crore in the budget for 2024–25. Beneficiaries are being provided free sand for the construction of their houses. Additionally, over one crore families will receive free rations for five years.

The state government has decided to support homemakers who frequently set aside their aspirations due to family obligations. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana has become a model scheme across the country, offering Rs. 12,000 annually (Rs. 1,000 per month) to more than 70 lakh women beneficiaries. Shri Sai government has taken significant measures to ensure justice for youth and transparency in government recruitment processes. The government has decided to raise the age limit for government jobs by five years.

In Naxal-affected areas, the Chhattisgarh Government’s swift and stringent actions have yielded significant results over the past six months. The state government has made significant efforts in which around 136 Naxals have been killed, 526 arrested, and 442 have surrendered, which marks substantial progress towards resolving the naxalism issue in the state.
